there > traveling while on assignment
|
When you
are given a weekend off, or a break between school terms
or projects, you will want to see the surrounding area.
Its always best to travel with at least one other person;
and
some times having a local person as your guide will enrich
the experience for you, as well as being helpful and giving
you protection. (See "Safety Tips While Traveling" and "While
on Assignment" under Getting Ready.
Before you set off, leave general details of your trip
with your supervisor, such as destination, scheduled time
of return, a phone number where you can be reached in case
of emergency. Not only is this a courtesy to your hosts,
but it could be most urgent for your safety.
