AVC: Voice Tape

For all applicants interested in service at an
English language center

English must be your mother tongue, your conversational skills must be fluent, and your grammar skills highly competent. Prepare a five-minute voice tape demonstrating your conversational English language skills, and submit it to the Language School Director of your choice listed below.

Do NOT read from any printed material
Make certain your voice is clearly audible, without background noise or music
Send a voice tape to each language center indicated on the Application along with a brief letter of introduction.

Suggestions of what to say on the tape:
- Full Name
- Place of birth
- Current place of residence
- Current school attending / position of employment, etc.
- When would you like to begin your term of service?
- How long will you be available to serve?
- Why would you like to serve as an international volunteer?
- Personal Testimony
